Our firm stands ready to help you
with any type of service you may request.
Whether you choose burial, entombment or cremation there are many things that
have to be considered. Do you want to have a viewing and during that time
do you want the casket to be opened or closed? Will there be any type of
religious services and will they take place in a church or the funeral home?
What type of memorial cards will you want? Should there be flowers or
will you request donations to a charity? Do you own existing cemetery
space or will you have to purchase? What about the obituary? Will
everyone drive their own car or will you need a limousine? Will you
bring in photos of your loved one or other items that were specific to them (a
fishing pole, a golf club, gardening gloves, etc.). Today funeral
services have become very personal, caskets are engraved and rear panels
embroidered to reflect the person’s life. There are casket pillows that
can be signed by those in attendance. There are DVD’s that play off to
the side reflecting the loved ones life. There are photo memorial cards
and candles. The list goes on and on. Whatever your needs are, we
can help you.
At French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl, we do our best to stay in
touch with the needs of the families we serve. We feel that we can provide
whatever type of service a family may request. Each family we serve is
different and where some things are important to one family other things are
important to another family. Taking some time to try and decide on what would
be important to you, spending a little time with us at our office or on the
phone could help take some of the confusion out of these complicated decisions.
A family actually has to make a few more decisions if they choose to have a
loved one cremated. Unlike the other two final dispositions, families
must decide what to do with the cremains on a temporary or permanent
basis.
