Alice S. Kittle 94, formerly of Ghent, New York, died Tuesday July, 31 at the Monroe Regional Medical center in Ocala, Florida after a long illness. Born January 17, 1913 to Fredrick and Emma Hallenbeck Heron in New York Mills, New York. She grew up and attended schools there until she moved to Hudson and had finished her early schooling there. She attended and graduated from Columbia Memorial Nursing School. She worked a short while at Columbia Memorial Hospital and than Married Nicholas Kittle in 1935 and moved to Ghent. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Christ Lutheran Church. She started and owned Kittle's Ice Cream Stand in Ghent for about 10 years. She enjoyed sewing and her flowers. She is survived by her loving husband Nicholas, a son; George N. (Betty) Kittle of Ghent, New York, a daughter; Arlene Keyser of Ocala, Florida, a sister; Jane Boice of Germantown, 8 grandchildren and 18 Great Granchildren. She was predeceased by her son Donald and a brother. Fred Heron. Graveside services will be celebrated Saturday, August 4 at 10:30 am by Rev.
