Wednesday, 11.9.2016, Ann (Aune) Helena Kauppinen (née Kurri) passed away shortly after 6pm at Livingston Hills, Livingston, NY with daughter, Tarja(Kauppinen) Taylor, by her sidet. Ann, born 3.11.1920 in Kurkijoki, Karjala, Finland, was pre-deceased (1.12.15) by her beloved husband of 67 years, Erik (Leo Erkki) Kauppinen; and pre deceased by younger siblings, brother, Eino and sister, Meeri.
Other surviving family members include their son, Jukka and daughter-in-law Tuula of Tampere, Finland; granddaughter Jane Taylor and fiancée Justin Miller of Ghent, NY; grandson Daniel Taylor currently of Tokyo, Japan; son-in-law David Taylor, E Chatham, NY and many nieces and nephews around the world from Finland to Australia. Ever loved and forever deeply missed.
Memorial service to be held at French Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, Saturday, November 26, 2016. Calling hours 4 -7pm. Condolences may be conveyed at frenchblasl.com.
