On Saturday, November 30, 2013 God called His servant, Arlene (Van Alstyne) Glover home.
Arlene was born December 26, 1939 in Chatham, New York. She was raised in Chatham and attended Chatham Central School. Arlene worked in various hospital and factories in Albany, Chatham and Hudson.
She married James Glover, Sr. they were married 55 years. Arlene was a member of the Payne AME Church and served the church in many capacities. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and shopping.
She leaves to mourn her passing her three children: Nadine Bray of Philadelphia, PA, James Glover, Jr. of Hudson, NY and Zachary Glover of Chatham, NY, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings: Janice Murray (Calvin), Patricia Bates (Jerry), Louis Van Alstyne, Sr. (Joanne), Corinne Summers, Jacqueline Payne (Vernon, Sr.), King Van Alstyne of Chatham, NY and Perry Van Alstyne, Sr. of Albany, NY, life-long friend, Kathy Starks of Vermont and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
Her husband, James Glover, Sr., siblings: Charles Van Alstyne, Sr., William Van Alstyne, Sr., and Mary Ellen Travis predeceased her.
