Barbara K. Dohrman died February 18, 2008. She was born April 1, 1937 in NYC, the daughter of James P. and Edith L. Kerr.   Barbara grew up and was educated in Bergen County NJ. She was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. She went on to work as a secretary and office manager for; Medical economics Inc., Morgan-Gramian Publishing Co., Jensen Business Forms, Animals Animals, Depot 22 Inc., Rugen Chiropractics, Dr.'s Spector and DeLeo and then retired from Berkshire Farm in 2004 where she was the security Department office manager.   She is survived by her sister; Patricia Singer of Little Rock Arkansas and nephew; Chad Singer of Atlanta Georgia.   She was predeceased by her husband Edward M. Dohrman.   Barbara was an exceptionally positive and upbeat woman. She lived a simple life, thriving on caring and reaching out for others. She was a true friend and confidant to many. As a long time resident of Canaan she contributed greatly to the community.   Barbara's passion in life was her animals. Her nurturing spirit created a safe haven for those she took in.   She loved the Lord with all her heart and her strong faith was evident to all who knew her.   Barbara will be greatly missed by family, friends and the community.   Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am , at the French Gifford, Preiter & Blasl funeral home, Chatham.
