Bonnie J. Golden Lowheit passed peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2016 with family near. Born July 18, 1945 in Mt. Vernon, NY.
She was pre-deceased by Son, John Swartz, Father, Harold "Babe " Golden , Husband, Martin Lowheit and Sister Roberta Rose.
She is survived by her mother Helen Wilber Golden, daughters Donna O'Neil Herbert(Tom), Peggy O'Neil Cedri (Julio), close friend and companion Wayne Rose, also her grand daughters Cindy Marinaro, Julia Marinaro , Jennifer Herbert and many nieces and nephews that she loved like her own grandchildren with Charlie Rose being her pride and joy for the past 6 years.
Bonnie worked at Taconic Phone Company in Chatham for many years, before working at Matthew Bender Co. (Nexus Lexus) in Menands for over 30 years retiring in 2007.
She was an avid bowler and golfer for over 40 years. She also volunteered as co-director of Chatham Silent Pantry for several years, worked many hours fundraising for Crellin Park with her Sister Roberta and a was a mentor to children in the Albany Public School Systems while working at Nexus Lexus.
Bonnie loved to travel around the U.S.A. and the Caribbean islands golfing and sightseeing. Her last trip was to Texas, by car, then a stop at Biloxi, Ms., where she loved the Gulf Coast, then onto Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and home.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday March 16th. from 4 to 6:30pm at The French, Gifford Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bonnie's name may be made to; Roberta Rose Memorial Scholarship Fund (Ichabod Crane School Rte. 9 Valatie, NY 12184), Wildwood Foundation (2995 Curry Road Ext.
