Carl E. Collins passed away November 20, 2022 at Ghent Rehabilitation and Nursing Center surrounded by his family. Born October 14, 1947 in Hudson, NY, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Lurline Greenleaf Collins.

He resided in East Chatham and graduated from Chatham Central Schools. After graduation he worked for Columbia Box Board until it closed in 1995.

Carl was a sports enthusiast favoring the Red Sox, Yankees and Giants. He enjoyed his music, especially Celine Dion and Kenny Rogers and he looked forward to his Dairy Queen visits. Carl was devoted to God and Jesus and he dearly loved his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Latwauna "Louie" (John) Nowak, Jessica Evelyn (Michael) Horadan and Adrianne Collins, grandchildren Aryanna, and "grandpa ice cream" to Colin,Madelyn and Olivia, siblings Alton (Gloria) Collins, Cheryl (Edward) Brill, Karen (Harold) Willis, Keith (Lisa) Collins and Michael Collins along with many nieces and nephews.

Carl was predeceased by his brothers Cricket Collins and John Collins Jr.

Family will receive friends Sunday November 27th from 4 to 7pm at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home where services will be conducted Monday the 28th at 11am. Interment will follow at the Cemetery of the Maples.
