Christine Szczepanski of Canaan, NY, passed away suddenly on April 9, 2014 at her home. She was born on May 19, 1942 in Buffalo, New York and was the daughter of the late Walter and Laura Wlostowski Waiss.
She worked as an executive secretary for a telecommunications company until her retirement. After that Christine was able to devote all her time to the family she loved. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening and volunteering at the Chatham Silent Food Pantry.
Christine is survived by her loving husband Stanley, her sons; Peter (Kathi), Ted (Deborah Simon) and John-Paul (Christine), her grandchildren; Rose, Grace, Benjamin and Alexander, her sisters, Karen (Mark) and Marsha (Greg), her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, NY, on Friday, April 11th from 4 to 7pm. Funeral services will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday at 10am. Interment will follow at the Canaan Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Chatham Silent Food Pantry in Christine's name.
