Donald Lester, age 84, passed away at Kingston Hospital on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Donald was born to the late J.D. Lester and Ada McPherson on July 13,1928, in Highland, New York. From his childhood years through middle-age, Donald worked on the family poultry farm, on Perkinsville Road in Highland.  Industrious and hard-working, he was an integral member of the family business down through the years.  He later worked for Gateway Industries in New Paltz, New York, until his retirement. Donald's leisure interests included taking long nature walks, cross country skiing, watching old movies and listening to music. Donald was predeceased by his siblings Stanley Lester, Albert Lester, and Mildred Buhl; his niece Linda Guthrie, and nephew Jay Lester.  He is survived by his nieces Jane Wegener, Judy Altomari, Susan Milor and Bonnie Lester; and nephews Theodore Buhl and Douglas Lester.
