Douglas G McArthur Douglas (Doug, Dougie) McArthur, 61, of Chatham, NY passed away suddenly on March 14th, 2021. Born on April 10, 1959, he was the son of the late Donald Sr and Lorraine McArthur. He is survived by his sister Barbara VanAlstyne and Brother-in-law/Best friend Teddy VanAlstyne; sisters Shelia VanAlstyne, Priscilla McArthur (Kemo VanAlstyne), Gloria McArthur and Lisa McArthur; brothers Donald McArthur Jr. and Leonard McArthur (Brigette VanNess) and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces. He was predeceased by his baby sister Rosemarie, his niece Therese VanAlstyne-Brown and great-nephew Jordan Brown. Doug was a very hard working man who loved to fish and spend time with his family. He also loved spending time in the community where you could often find him at Stewarts grabbing his daily coffee and scratch off tickets. The family will have a private service, and a celebration of life will be held in June for the community (to be announced at a later date).
