Obituary

Ellalouise Wadsworth, 64 of Old Chatham passed away on February 16, 2007 at Columbia Memorial Hospital Hospice in Hudson, New York. Born November 7, 1942 in Hudson New York, Ellalouise was the daughter of Jean (Sincavich) Wadsworth and the late Kelton Wadsworth.  Ellalouise worked for thirty years at the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) Headquarters in Albany. Ellalouise's main love was her family. She is survived by her mother Jean, and her sisters Bonita (Robert) Loyche, and Janie (Thomas) Miller, all of Old Chatham.  She was a devoted aunt to nephew Matthew (Jodie) Distin, nieces Danielle Loyche, Kelly Distin and Rebecca Loyche and great-nephews Austin and Andrew and great-niece Meghan.  She was predeceased by her father Kelton and her sister Karen Distin. Ellalouise was an avid gardener, bird watcher, and animal lover. She loved to travel and loved Broadway musicals. Ellalouise was a talented crafter.  One of her most recent projects was knitting shawls for hospice patients. Friendly, strong, outgoing, she was known for her great sense of humor and wit.  She touched many lives and leaves behind many beloved family and friends. Family will receive friends Monday February 19th., from 4 to 6 pm. at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday by the Reverend Gary Gelfenbien at Saint James Church at 9:30am, interment will follow at Saint James Cemetery, Ghent, NY. For those who wish, many local services were instrumental in her care, contributions may be made to the East Chatham Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 94, East Chatham NY 12060, the Chatham Rescue Squad, Moore Ave., Chatham, NY 12037 or to the Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene, 47 Liberty St., Catskill, NY.  For directions or to leave an online condolence please visit www.frenchblasl.com.
