Obituary

Esther (Sally) Pinto, passed away Tuesday October 24th. at the Pine Haven Nursing Home, Philmont, after a long illness.  Born February 10, 1937 to Forrest and Mildred Barlow Ordway in Horicon, New York, she moved to Spencertown as a child and attended Spencertown Union Free Grammar School and Chatham High School. She later worked for the Chatham Central School District for five years as a bus driver and had also worked for fifteen years at Crellin Plastics. She was a member of St. Peter's Church in Spencertown, where she sang in the choir for several years.  She was also a member of the Tower Club in Spencertown. She is survived by her three daughters; Cindy Parks of Naples , Fla, Lynne Pinto of East Chatham, and Terry Aughenbaugh of Ghent, two grandsons; Kyle Parks of Florida and Jason Mink of East Chatham, and a brother; Francis Ordway of Chatham. She was predeceased by her husband; James V. Pinto Jr. and a brother; Maurice Ordway. Calling hours will be on Thursday October 26th from 7 to 9pm.  at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham. Religious Services will be held Friday 11am at the funeral home by the Reverend Tomi Jacobs of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Chatham. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Ghent, New York.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the East Chatham Fire Company.  Memorial donations may be made to the East Chatham Fire Company.
