Florence C. Nesbitt passed away February 21st at the Firemen's Home. Born September 16, 1916 in Leonia, NJ she was the daughter of Charles and Katherine Ley Hirtes. Florence opened Flo's Luncheonette in Chatham, in 1957 and worked many years as a waitress. She enjoyed animals and travel. She was a member of the Chatham Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary and the First Reformed Church of Chatham. She is survived by her children; Maureen (Robert) Watson Arsenault of Hudson, Edward J.(Linda) Nesbitt III of Chatham, and Richard A. (Loraine) Nesbitt Sr. of Austerlitz, her grandchildren; Tracy Larkin-Thompson of Silver Springs, MD, Michael Steven Larkin of Silver Springs, MD, Billi Jo Harder Buckles of Huston, TX, David Larkin of Stottville, NY, Ami White of Cherry Hill, NJ, Richard A. Nesbitt Jr. of Austerlitz, NY, Brian D. Nesbitt of Los Angeles, CA, Edward Nesbitt IV of upstate, NY, Daniel Nesbitt of Chatham, NY and Michael Nesbitt of Chatham, NY, she is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, a great great grandson and her sister Tillie Donaldson of W. Friendship, MD. She was predeceased by 3 sisters her brother and her beloved husband, Edward. Calling hours will be Monday at the Firemen's Home, Hudson, from 6-9pm. where religious services will be conducted Tuesday at 1pm.
