In the early morning hours of March 1, 2018 our beloved Foard Holden Tarbert peacefully passed. Born on May 17, 1923 in Baltimore MD to Guy Emerson Tarbert and Miriam Carroll Tarbert, Foard is survived by his wife, Jan Schierloh Tarbert. Foard and Jan happily resided together in Sint Maarten, Anguilla and Austerlitz NY.
Foard was a top Salesman, loved the sea for fishing, sailing and swimming and in recent years expanded his time and skills in the garden. As a World War II veteran, Foard proudly served his country in five different arenas, including the invasion of North Africa.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Anne Tarbert, a brother, Carroll Emerson Tarbert. He is also survived by his two sons, Foard Holden Tarbert Jr (Cheryl) and Bruce Emerson Tarbert (Chirilyn), four grandchildren, Bradford Emerson Tarbert (Megan), Laurel Anne Martin, Nicolle Anne Tarbert, and Blair Elizabeth Willis (Chris), and six great grandchildren.
At 94, Foard enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered by those whose path his life crossed including his step-children Laurie Schierloh and Robert Schierloh, Rob's children James, Elizabeth and Daniel, Rob's grandson, along with his wife Debbie all of whom were an integral part of his life.
As a friend, Foard excelled both in quality and quantity, and will be truly missed.
