Frances Alessi, 85, of Old Chatham, NY died on December 12, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital. She married her loving husband, Salvatore (Sam) Alessi , on November 14, 1944. They were married for 53 years before he pre deceased her in 1997. Frances was a devoted mother of seven children, Louise Alessi, Salvatore (JoMarie) Alessi Jr., Dorothy (Richard) Wilber, Dolores (Case) deBoer, Joseph (LeeAnn) Alessi, Frances (Les) Radley, Anthony (Lori) Alessi, and a loving grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and great grandmother to twelve great grandchildren. She was a member of St. James Church, Chatham, NY. We want to thank all the doctors, nurses and all the staff at St. Peter's Hospital for the compassionate care they gave our mother. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to call at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, Friday,December16th from 5 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am at St. James Church; interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Ghent, NY.
