Frank Meizinger, age 100 died January 15, 2014. After a century of a full life, Frank passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Florida.
Mr. Meizinger was blessed with a long life, and was able to share most of his golden years with his wife Vera, until her death in 2005. He lost his only son early in life, but is survived by a loving daughter Veronica who still resides in Florida near Frank's three grandchildren; Frank, Stacey and Brian.
He was a retired railroad mechanic who always enjoyed tinkering with engines.
Though he spent the last few decades of his life in Florida, his heart was always in upstate New York. He enjoyed nothing more than dancing and being with his family and friends. He will always be remembered as the interesting and fun man that he was, a loving grandfather and a wonderful father.
Service will be held at the French, Gifford Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, NY, on Saturday, January 25th, at 10:30am. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
