George N. Kittle, 89, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, at the Firemen’s Home in Hudson. Born on May 20, 1936, in West Ghent, to the late Nicholas and Alice (Heron) Kittle. George lived a life marked by dedication to both his work and his family.
A proud graduate of Orange County College, George established himself as a respected cattle dealer, owning and operating Triple K Cattle. His passion for his profession was matched only by the joy he found in spending time with those he loved.
George was known for his warm and engaging personality, particularly his deep affection for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was central to his happiness, and he treasured countless moments spent with them. Among his fondest memories were the lively evenings he shared square dancing with his wife Betty at McGetricks, a tradition they upheld with joy and enthusiasm.
He found great pride and pleasure in sharing his hobbies with his loved ones, including playing poker, hunting, and horseback riding, creating bonds that would endure through generations.
George's legacy is carried forward by his devoted wife of 70 years, Betty; their four children, Gary (Karen) Kittle, Pam (Serge) Bervy, Sue (Dave) Madsen, and Kimberly (Steve Stengl) Coons; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Arlene Keyser.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Donald Kittle.
