Gerald J. Dieffenbach  August 11, 1932 - November 27, 2008. Son of Henry Dieffenbach and Anna Mc Neilus Dieffenbach. Beloved husband of Patricia O'Gara Dieffenbach. . Devoted father of Gerald Jr. (Craig Raia), Mark (Marie), John (Anne) and the late Paul Dieffenbach. Cherished grandfather of Rosie, Brendan, Megan, Jimmy, Matthew and Emily Dieffenbach.   Also survived by his sisters Helen Hepburn and Eleanor Kraut. Born in Jamaica, N.Y., Jerry received a BBA degree from St. John's University, N.Y., MBA from N.Y. University, and JD from Fordham Law School. He was tax manager for Bristol Myers - Squibb and a Village justice in the village of Malverne, N.Y. where he was a resident for 30 years. He retired to Chatahm, N.Y. and was on the board & president of COARC and financial chair for St. James Parish where he also was a lector and an active member in the outreach program. Family will receive friends Sunday November 30 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl funeral home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11am in St. James Church, Chatham.
