Gerald E. Dixon of Chatham passed away April 16, 2014 at Albany Medical Center. Born in the Bronx, he was the son of the late George and Margaret Villanova Dixon.
He moved to Chatham in 1962 after serving in the US Army. Gerald married Joyce Dardess on May 7, 1966. He worked as a laborer for Local 190 and then as an independent contractor.
Gerald was a member of the Chatham American Legion where he had been very active. He enjoyed spending time at home with his family.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, his son, Eric Dixon, his brother, Charles Kuhn, his sister, Dr. Margaret Kuhn-Basti and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 21st at 10am in Saint James Church.
