Gerald Francis Malone of Niskayuna, died suddenly on November 1st. Born March 13, 1930 in Grand Gorge, NY he was the son of   the late Francis and Suesita Smith Malone. He was educated in Grand Gorge and went on to graduate Wanakeena Forestry School. He worked for NYS Dept. of Transportation as a civil engineer on the Northway.  Later he worked at the NYS Dept. of Mental Hygiene from which he retired in 1985. Jerry was an avid traveler, biker, hunter, outdoorsman, carpenter, model builder, bird watcher and gardener. He is survived by; his daughters; Chris Malone, Caren Malone and Patricia Malone {Charles Capobianco}, his grandchildren; Anthony Zane DeFazio, Gerald Francis DeFazio, Emily Arcisewski, Martha Arcisewski, Lauren Capobianco and Kristen Capobianco and his brother Richard Malone of CA. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl funeral home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham Wednesday the 5th from 4 to 7pm.
