Gregory "Greg" Pinney of Valatie passed away on June 7, 2018 at the age of 64 due to complications from cancer. Greg was raised in new Lebanon NY by his adoptive parents Janet and Wallace Pinney. He graduated from Columbia High School then served his country in the United States Army. After leaving the army, Greg settled in Valatie, NY with his wife and daughter. Being very handy, Greg worked for many years as a sider and roofer. He was a friend to all animals, and enjoyed spending time gardening, working on home repair projects, and practicing martial arts. He is survived by his wife, Jean C. Pinney, daughter, Jennifer L. Pinney, her partner, Zied Ben Harrith, and many extended family members and close friends who were like family. He was predeceased by his adoptive parents and a brother.Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 10th from 11AM-2PM, at the French, Gifford, Preiter, & Blasl Funeral Home in Chatham, NY where services will be held at 1:15PM.
