MEMORIAL SERVICE   Harold O. Mawhiney  passed away  on May 8, 2008 in Johnston RI.  Friends, family and acquaintances are invited to attend a memorial service to honor the life and memory of Harold O. Mawhiney.  The service will be held on November 8, 2008 at 2:00p.m. in the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Ave., Chatham, NY.   Harold and his wife, Louise, moved to Ghent, NY after his retirement from the Miriam Osborne Home in Rye, NY.  He rapidly became an active member of his adopted community.  "Hal" was involved with the Northern Columbia Rotary Club, The Spencertown Fire Dept., Columbia #1 Masonic Lodge as well as the "55 Alive" program of AARP and other community organizations.   Please join us to remember this special man on November 8th.
