Hazel McCagg died January 23, 2010.Born in North Canaan, CT, on February 16, 1913 and was the daughter of the late Elisher and Bertine Rood Benedict. She attended school in Hartford Ct, and later cooking school. She was a cook in Connecticut for private families. Hazel met Harry A. McCagg in 1930 and they married in the New Lebanon Church in 1934. He passed away in 1970. She is survived by her son; Harry (Lynda) McCagg of Austerlitz, granddaughter; Bonnie Baldwin, Grandson; Donald (Carol) McCagg , and two great grandchildren. There will be a calling hour Wednesday January 27th at 10am, at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl funeral home, Chatham. Religious services will follow at the funeral home at 11.
