Helen C. Wheeler died on August 10th at the Barnwell Nursing Home. Born June 28, 1923 in Richmond, MA. she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Lauster Bertram. Helen served in the US Army and later was a housekeeper in the Ghent, Chatham Area. She loved flowers and gardening and was a terrific cook. She is survived by her son Jerry (Linda A.) Wheeler of Kinderhook; grandchildren, Jennifer and Amy Wheeler; Sister, Marion Ozga; Brothers, Donald, Stanley and James Bertram and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel and sister Dorothy Macarthy. Family will receive friends Thursday August 13 from 5 to7 pm at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl funeral home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham.
