James W. Garvey age 59, passed suddenly on August 27, 2025. James is survived by his son, Kyle Kolb, and brother David Garvey.

James graduated from Chatham High, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy, was the former Third District Commander in the American Legion, member and post past Commander of post 42, James had also served as Columbia County Commander and on various committees at the state and national level. He was a member of the Ocean Fire Company #1 of Chatham Fire Dept and had served in various positions over the years, as well as many other groups.

James was an IT Admin at Questar 111, and a lover of NASCAR and music.
