James Goodrich Moon, of East Chatham died Aug. 22, 2011. Born Sept. 13, 1923 he was the son of the late Hubert and Ruth M. Chase Moon. James married Carolyne Champney Moon on December 26, 1945. He served his country in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre  joining in 1942 and being discharged in 1946. James was the father of James A. (Judy), Sharon A. of East Chatham, Brad A. (Anita) of Homasassa, Fla., Terry A. (Mary) of East Chatham, grandfather of Leeann Guest, Brian, Evan, David, Willy, Adam, Jennifer, and Jessica Moon, brother of Arthur Moon. He was predeceased by his brother Bill and his granddaughters Courtney and Amanda Moon. He will be lovingly remembered as Pops at Chatham Tire and Oil. A public graveside service will be conducted on Aug. 27, 2011, at 12 noon, at the Cemetery of the Maples, East Chatham.
