James A Robinson

James A. Robinson passed on November 20, 2017 at Whittier Nursing Home. Born November 22, 1926 in Queens, NY he was the son of the late James and Valentina Kassel Robinson. He worked for the New York Telephone Company until retiring to a home he had built in Ghent in 1985. He was very proud of that house. James loved wood working, gardening and stopping at local yard sales for hidden treasures. James is survived by his wife Margaret, children, Robert of Babylon, NY, Laura Mayer of Ghent, NY, Linda of North Haven CT, Richard of Chatham, NY and Diane Manahan of Salem, MA, grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Katie, Brendan, Melanie, Rowan and Charlotte, and his great grandson Oliver. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, on Friday, November 24th from 4 to 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am in Saint James Church. In lieu of flowers contributions in James' memory may be made to Saint James Church.
