VALATIE – Jean Sitcer died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at Barnwell Health Facility where, she had resided for nearly 25-years. She was 88-years-old. Jean was born January 22, 1929 in Chatham, the daughter of Irene (McCagg) and Arthur Sitcer, and resided there until she moved to the Valatie healthcare facility. Jean was a caring individual, who enjoyed helping staff and residents whenever she could. She also found pleasure in the numerous stuffed animals and dolls given to her by family and friends. She is survived by a number of cousins and great-cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home in Chatham.
