Mrs. Jeanette Grimes, of Nancy Theresa Terrace, Albany, New York, was introduced to this world on January 28, 1922, and was escorted home on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 by God's Archangel, at Health Alliance Hospital; Broadway Campus, Kingston, New York, following a period of declining strength and health. Her body was giving out but her mind remained active. Her passing reminds us that death is sure but life is uncertain
A new life had just begun in Chatham, New York for the late William and Cora (Jackson) VanNess, all of God's grace in one little face was born - a beautiful baby girl - "Jeanette VanNess". "Every good and perfect gift is from above." – James 1:17.

Mother Grimes's spiritual values guided her from her youth and through her final days with us. She trusted God for all her needs, lived in constant prayer, and kept her faith through many sorrows and difficulties. The she did not consider herself to be a perfect person, she remains an inspiration and example to family and friends. She went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived a life wrapped in the love of Jesus. She would have us remember one thing: know Jesus, live, walk, trust and rest in Hi. Her family cherishes her memories of her faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus Faithful love for her. Remember her now as healed and reunited with her husband and the other loved ones who have gone on before.
Everyone here is blesses, blessed to have known Mother Grimes, a radiant Christian woman who lived an exemplary life. As we gather today, although we will miss her physical presence in our lives, let's not just grieve, but also celebrate her life as it was fully lived. As we talk and visit, let's share our memories, as her Spirit continues to live in all of us. She has passed the barrier of time as we know it and is forever at home with the Savior she faithfully served. May the Lord now welcome her to the table of God's children in heaven.
