Joan Giallorenzi passed away on April 4, 2014. She was born on November 7, 1934 in Yonkers, New York and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Laura Renzi Rubino. She grew up in Yonkers and moved to Columbia County later in her life. Joan knitted the most beautiful afghans and sweaters. She was an excellent cook and baker. She has left behind decades of old Italian recipes for the family to enjoy. Joan is survived by her son, Steven (Sharon) Giallorenzi of Mount Kisco, NY, her daughter, Lorraine (Dan) Silvano of Charlotte, NC and Gina (Andre) Marcou of Claverack, NY, her grandchildren, John  and Justin Giallorenzi, Michelle and Joe Silvano, and Dina DiMedio, her Great granddaughter Aubree Silvano her sister, Barbara (Arthur) Engelhardt of Yorktown Heights, NY and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Laura and Robert Rubino and her granddaughter Anna.
