John H. Fuss Sr. passed away August 31, 2020 at the Whittier Rehab and Nursing Center. Born March 8, 1932 in Ghent New York he was the son of the late John and Margaret Roraback Fuss. John graduated high school and went into the Air Force where he served for four years. When he returned he would be employed at the Ghent Highway Department. He would work his way up to foreman and retire after 35 years of service. He was a past member of the Ghent Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed the outdoors, his lawn and garden and his evening rides looking for deer. His wife of 63 years, Josephine, predeceased him in April. He was also predeceased by his son Michael and brother Ralph. John is survived by his sons, John H. Jr. and Steven, both of Ghent, granddaughter Erin Nartowicz, brother, Richard (Barbara) of Ghent and sister, Mary Wagner of Troy and several nieces and nephews.
