John W. Wallace passed away November 7, 2017 at home. Born November 19, 1943 in Manhattan he was the son of the late Alexander and Catherine Langan Wallace. John grew up in Manhattan and would go on to join the New York State Troopers where he spent thirty one years and had achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He enjoyed his time on the job and after retirement he became the owner of the Gray Rider Real Estate Co. John had many interests he was the former Chairman of the Chatham Republican Committee and Former President of New York Oath Keepers. He was the Grand Knight of the Our Lady of the Rosary K. of C., cast member of Chatham Improv and usher and communicant of Saint James Church. John is survived by his wife Anastasia, daughters Allison, Kathleen and Mary and son in law Larry. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home on Friday, November 10th from 4 to 7pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am, in Saint James Church.
