Joseph L. Slovak

Joseph L. Slovak passed away February 6, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospice. Born February 7, 1947 in Albany, New York he was the son of the late Joseph and Eleanor Luck Slovak. Joe enjoyed his old cars and Cadillacs. He looked forward to attending car shows especially the one in Rhinebeck. He is survived by his wife Zelda, sons Richard (Michelle), James (Gloria), and Kevin Slovak, his 6 grandchildren, brother Don Slovak, sister Edith Slovak, brother-in-law Doug Keyer, sister-in-laws Donna (Joe) Hacker and Jean Slovak. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and life long friend Virginia Pertgen. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blas Funeral Home, Chatham, NY on Friday, February 9th from 5 to 7pm. There will be services at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30am with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following. Condolences may be conveyed at frenchblasl.com.
