Judith A. Wear, a lifelong resident of Canaan, NY, passed away October 26, 2011, at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield, MA. She was born November 23, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Eugene W. and Margaret L. Casey Walker. Judith was a graduate of New Lebanon High School and Albany Medical Center School of Nursing. She loved to sew and quilt, was an accomplished cake decorator, enjoyed her time with the Canaan Seniors and was very active in her church. She was a longtime member of the Canaan Protective Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary and Chatham Rescue Squad. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (William) Bagnall, her son, Timothy (Susan) Wear, her 4 grandchildren; Erin, Casey and Molly Bagnall and Tracy Wear, and her brother, Philip Walker of FL. She was predeceased by her husband Robert P. Wear and brother Eugene Walker. Family will receive friends Friday, October 28th from 5 to 8 pm at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, NY. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church in New Lebanon at 10am. Interment will follow at the Canaan Cemetery.
