Julia A. Robison passed away March 4th at her home in Claverack. She was born December 16, 1939, in Ossining, NY the daughter of Paul and Margaret Curtis Pindt.
She grew up and was educated in Ossining, NY and would later attended Dutchess Community College. She married Duane H. Robison on October 3, 1959 at St. Ann's in Ossining. They moved to Wappingers Falls in 1972. Julia loved education and children and to this end she owned and operated the Busy Bee Day Nursery in Wappingers Falls until her retirement in 1995.
Retirement brought Julia to Claverack in 1995 where she would soon come out of retirement to return to the children, this time at the Head Start Program of Greenville, NY until 2001. Now officially retired she would find time for reading and sewing, which she enjoyed so much.
Julia is survived by her children; Patricia Robison Smith of Poughkeepsie, NY,Melissa Disbrow and her husband Steven of Wappingers Falls, NY, Maryann Williams of Kingston, NY and Theresa Matzek of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, her grandchildren; Gregory Smith, Shauna Smith, Faith Robison, Megan Hayton, Daniel Disbrow, Jesse Disbrow, Cora Matzek, Brett Williams and Melissa Williams, her great grandson Brian Orellana, her sister Margaret Picarelli of Tarrytown NY, her brothers; Jack Pindt of Chatham, NY, Paul Pindt of upstate, NY, Leonard Pindt of Hopewell Junction, NY.,and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of forty years, Duane, in 2000, her brother Gene Pindt and sister Mary Morabito Family will receive friends Monday at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl funeral home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham, at 10 am. Mass of Christian Burial 11am, at Saint James Church. Interment will follow at Saint James Cemetery, Ghent.
