Karolyn Francis Buttle (51) of Canaan, NY passed away peacefully at home under hospice care, February1. Born in Morristown, NJ, she later moved with her family to Worthington, OH.  She was a graduate of Ohio State University after which she moved to East Chatham to care for her grandmother (Evelyn Francis) and great uncle (Harold G. Best). She was later employed as a microscopist for the Wadsworth Institute in Albany. Karolyn was a charter member of Pepper Tree Rescue Organization in Albany. She is survived by her parents, Eugene and Ann (Francis) Buttle of Savannah, GA, her sister Stephanie (Dean) Judkins of Milford, OH , her niece Sarah Judkins and nephews Brian and Andrew Judkins. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, February 4, at 10am, at the Canaan Congregational Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham.  No flowers please, donations in Karolyn's memory may be made to the Community Hospice of Columbia Greene, if you wish.
