Kathleen M. White passed away on July 12, 2014 at her home after a long illness. She was born August 7, 1950 in Hudson, NY and was the daughter of the late Francis H. and Mary Dunn Howe. She was a graduate of Chatham Central Schools and went on to study education and earned an Associates degree at SUNY Farmingdale, a bachelors degree at SUNY Geneseo and a masters in special education at the College of St. Rose.. She spent her entire career in the Chatham Central School District. Kathy was past president of Chatham Central Schools Teachers Association. She was a past co director of the Ghent Food Pantry, current member and past president of the Alpha Nu, Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society and a lifetime communicant of St. James Church. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard A., her loving children, Allison (Colin) Heilman and Richard F.(Margaret), her grandchildren, Avery, Owen and Thaddeus, her sister, Theresa Hanson , brothers, John and James Howe and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Hometh from 4 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, at noon at St. James Church , Chatham, interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Ghent, NY.
