Laura Etta Sitcer died peacefully at Barnwell Nursing Home on January 22, 2016. She was born on June 20, 1915 in Chatham, the daughter of John and Laura Stickles Baker. She is survived by her children; Marie Gagnon (Robert) Davis, Shirley Gagnon (Paul) Davis, Robert (Kathy) Sitcer and Sharon (Lee) Koblenzer, her 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by her siblings; Fred, Hannah, Frank, George, Curtis, Lester, Mary, John and Roy and her two husbands John Gagnon and Roland Sitcer. She enjoyed embroidery, bingo and sunsets. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham on Tuesday, January 26th from 4 to 7pm. Religious services will be conducted by Reverend Daniel K. Herrick at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11am with interment to follow at Chatham Rural Cemetery. The family wishes to thanks the nurses and staff at Barnwell for the care Laura received, especially the caring staff on the first floor.
