Leonard Arthur Blish July 24th 1965 - March 25th 2016 Leonard Arthur Blish, 50, of Chatham Center, passed Friday evening March 25, 2016 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends. Leonard battled stage 4 stomach cancer for 2 1/2 years. Leonard, born, July 24th 1965, in Glens Falls N.Y., and is predeceased by his parents Alice Gough Blish and Laurence Blish Sr. He graduated from Chatham High School in 1984. He married his wife, Pamela Gile Blish in 2000. Leonard worked at Columbia Memorial Hospital as a PC LAN Specialist. He was loved greatly by all of his co-workers. He was a member of the Chatham United Methodist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by son Douglas of Chatham, daughter Nicole of Chatham, granddaughter Arianna (Angel baby) of Chatham, brothers Laurence (Maggie) of Chatham Center, Douglas (Beth) of Averill Park, sisters Loretta of Tennessee, Sharon (Lanny) of Vermont, Laura (Mark) of Florida, Lisa (Robert) of Chatham Center, several brothers and sister in-laws, best friend and brother David of Chatham Center. He was also God father to Michelle of Chatham Center and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Leonard got his associates degree from ITT Technical Institute. Leonard also had two businesses of his own, Labtech Computers (2000) and The Music Express D.J. Service (2007). Leonard was also a part of the Chatham Fire Department. Calling hours will be at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, on Wednesday March 30th. from 4 to 7pm. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, interment will be in the Chatham Center Cemetery.Pallbearers will be, son Douglas Blish, brothers Laurence and Douglas Blish, brother in-laws David, Roger, Robert, and William.
