Lillian Meltz, of Martindale, died January 6, 2013 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. She was a retired bus driver for Taconic Hills School District and was a member of the Mellenville Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary. Lillian is survived by her husband of forty years, Thomas Meltz Sr., her sons; Thomas Meltz Jr., George Pitcher, Richard Pitcher, her daughters; Pamela (Bill) Harmon, Susan Drbul and Melissa Sperry, her step daughter, Tammy Hart, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, Thursday from 10am to noon. A religious service will be celebrated at noon with interment to follow at Mellenville Cemetery. Donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene.
