SMITH--Lily Nixon Leopold, born 1934 in New York City, died August 15th near her home in Old Chatham, New York. A lifelong New Yorker, she loved the theater, the Yankees and all things New York. Lily's husband, James A. Smith predeceased her. She is survived by her children Palmer of New York City, Sanford of Sydney, Australia and Elizabeth of Portland, Oregon; and seven grandchildren. Memorials will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, NY.
