Lois C. Busch passed away November 13, 2011 at Pine Haven Nursing Home. She was born in Wyoming, July 29, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Ralph Lionial and Katherine Alice Cook Soule.
She settled to Long Island as a teenager and later met and married Frederick E. Busch. They moved to Columbia County to small farm. They then moved to Chatham Center and that was where Lois raised her family. After they were grown she became a Site Director for the Office of the Aging at the Chatham Site. She spent about 20 years with them before retiring.
Lois loved crafts, making beautiful jewelry and enjoyed sewing. She enjoyed gardening, having beautiful flower beds, she was a great cook and baker making delicious apple pies.
Lois is survived by her sons, Frederick David Busch and Jack (Dorothy) McDonald, her daughter, Christy (David) Carpenter, four grandchildren, her sister, Cora Penney and brother, Ralph Soule.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick E. Busch.
There will be a religious service Thursday, November 17, 2011, at 11am, at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham, NY. Interment will follow at Chatham Center Cemetery.
