Obituary

Lois D. Keller passed away on December 4, 2019 at St. Peters Hospital. She was born June 16, 1945 in Canaan, NY and was the daughter of the late James and Ethel Smith Best. Survived by her husband of 53 years, Daniel Keller, daughters, Lynn (Paul) Oliver of Schenectady, NY, Pamela Keller of Providence, RI, grandchildren, Lukas, Abrianna, Natalia, Matthew and Gabriel, sister, Evelyn (Kermit) Harry of Newport, PA, Brother Earl (Maryann) Best of CO. She was predeceased by her son Todd Keller. Lois was executive secretary at Columbia Boxboard, member of the Ghent Ladies Auxiliary, assistant leader at 4H, and was on a league at the Chatham Bowl. Lois was an avid reader of fiction novels, loved the ocean. She had a magnetic personality, was kind and giving and had a contagious smile. Her family meant the world to her and her beautiful energy and spirit will live on forever. Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home on Sunday, December 8th from 5 to 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at Saint James Church at 10am. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
