Margaret Ella Giangrossi Margaret Olmstead Giangrossi, 88, of The Villages, Florida, died on Thursday January 8, 2010 at a skilled nursing facility while on hospice. She was retired after working in retail at Patlen's clothing store, in Chatham, and Chatham Furniture Store. "Midge" as she was nicknamed, graduated from Chatham Central High School where she met her husband, Jerry Giangrossi, who preceded her in death. Midge graduated form Pratt Institute as a dietician. She had two children, Gerald, whose untimely death occurred in June 2003 and her daughter, Marylou, who lives in Hawaii with her husband, Armand J. Wohl, MD. She leaves behind her granddaughter, Krista of Castleton, NY and her grandsons, Michael and Todd of San Diego, CA. There will be a memorial service at Saint James Catholic Church in Chatham on Saturday May 29th at 11 am, followed by burial of her ashes in St. James Cemetery. Her family would love to have her friends and family join them for lunch directly following at the Chatham House.
