Marguerite Ann Sheehy (Haggerty) of Ghent, New York, passed away on August 2, 2011 at Whittier Nursing Home.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert V. Sheehy and  was the devoted mother of Rosemarie Schober of Austerlitz NY, Marguerite Lang of New Bedford MA , Donald Sheehy of Edinboro PA , Stephen Sheehy of Norwalk CT, Laura Knabbe of New Bedford MA , Robert V. Sheehy, Jr, of North Attleboro MA, Melissa Norway of Hudson NY,  Michelle Balachandran of New Rochelle NY and Joseph Sheehy of Valatie NY.    She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was employed by the Chatham Central School District for many years where she enjoyed her job and co-workers.   Peg was happiest when surrounded by her family. Calling hours will be at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home in Chatham on August 7th from 3PM to 7PM.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Fairview Avenue in Hudson,  at 11AM,  on Monday, August 8th.    Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Ghent.
