Mark S. Torrey

Mark S. Torrey, formally of Chatham passed away peacefully June 13, 2026 under the care of Ormond Beach Hospice. Mark was born July 11, 1962 to the late Jack and Mary (Swan) Torrey and was a graduate of Chatham High School Class of 1979 where he participated in baseball and basketball. Mark’s passion was always music and he spend many hours playing with friends in their local band. He moved to Daytona Beach area of Florida in 1993 where he was employed for many years by a local moving company.

Mark is survived by his three brothers; John Torrey of Boston Massachusetts, Paul (Brenda) Torrey of Port Orange Florida, and Joseph (Patrice) Torrey of Chatham, New York and one nephew Jesse Torrey of Edgewood Florida, as well as many cousins.

Per the request of the family, services for Mark will be private. For those who wish, a contribution to The Chatham Area Food Pantry, 77 Main St., Chatham, NY 12037, can be made in memory of Mark.
