Mary Elizabeth Hughes Hoffman

Mary Elizabeth Hughes Hoffman, 104, of Davidson, NC, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Pines at Davidson. She was born on September 25, 1916 in Chatham, NY to the late William James Hughes and Ella Dennis Hughes. Mrs. Hoffman was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Assumption in Latham, NY. She was an avid Bridge player and a Notre Dame football fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Lt. Col. George W. Hoffman. She is survived by her sons, Walter Hoffman (Peggy), George Hoffman (Carolyn); grandchildren, Lisa, Ryan, Eric, and Kevin Hoffman; and great grandchildren, Danielle and Bennett Hoffman. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 26 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville, with Rev. Mark Lawlor officiating.
