Mary A. Ryan (May) of Claverack, NY age 69 died at her home on Jan 2,born in Ireland on Jan. 22, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Patrick & Ellen Ryan. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend. She was raised in Bayside, NY were she attended  Blessed Sacrament School.   May enjoyed working with her friends and coworkers at Taconic Hills Central School for over 20 years. She was very active in both church and community.  May was outgoing, energetic, full of life, independent, always willing to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on and the Heart of the family. She always looked forward to her weekly card game and night out with the ladies, attending church, traveling, cheering for her grand kids in all activities and spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her four children, Douglas Durham and wife Kylie of Troutman, NC,  Mary Ellen Cologero and husband Robert  of Saugerties, NY,  Robert Durham and wife Stacey of Troutman, NC and Lynn Van Wie and husband  Justin of Kinderhook her adoring 12 grandchildren, Robert Cologero, Hailey Durham, Caitlin Cologero, Alexandria Durham, Lindsay Durham, Samantha Durham, Morgan Van Wie, Colton Durham, Taylor Van Wie, Maxine & Ryan Durham and Logan Van Wie, her brother Desmond Ryan, sister Patricia Ryan, nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, January 7th at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, NY, from 4 to7 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 9am at St. James Church, Chatham, NY. Interment will follow at Flushing Cemetery.
