Matthew M Whiteman, 43 of Canaan, NY passed away suddenly on May 24th after a tragic accident. Matt was a loving husband, devoted father, loyal brother, wonderful son and trusted friend. He was always close by to lend a hand, a hug, or a laugh. His quiet strength, mild manner and generosity made Matt well loved. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Amber, his three children, Zachary, 21, Sarah, 16, Alexis 16 years old, his parents Henry and Linda Whiteman of Canaan, NY., his five siblings, Melissa (James) Gaudette of Spencertown, NY, Michael (Christine) Whiteman of Canaan, NY, Meghan (Paul) Calcagno Jr. of Kinderhook, NY, Mark (Carrie) Whiteman of Canaan, NY, and Micah (Jesse) Whiteman of Canaan, NY., 17 nieces and nephews. In addition to family, Matt's gentle assuredness will be sadly missed by many treasured friends. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 1169 Route 9 Castleton-On-The-Hudson, NY, Saturday June 2nd at 2:00 pm.
