Miles Elliot Ludvigsen, 43, of Chatham, New York, died suddenly in his home on September 5th, 2008 of an internal hemorrhage. Born on May 13, 1965, in New York City, Miles was the son of Barbara Willner of Chatham and Karl Ludvigsen of Suffolk, England. He spent his youth in Pelham Manor, New York and graduated from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Animation from the Rhode Island School of Design. Miles was a lifelong artist with great facility in the graphics arts, and was prolific and talented in painting, drawing, illustration and animation. He worked in television production in New York, design in Los Angeles, and vintage auto restoration in London, England. His paintings and drawings were exhibited at numerous galleries. In recent years Miles had begun writing fiction and he was at work on several novels at the time of his death. He was deeply intelligent with a laser-sharp memory, and was an exuberant, generous soul who was greatly devoted to his family. Miles is survived by his mother and father, his sister Aari Ludvigsen of New York, New York, his nephew Simon Ludvigsen Gaines, his stepfather Robert Willner of Chatham, his stepmother Annette Ludvigsen of Suffolk, England, and his sister-in-law Barbara Gaines. Farfel and Frank will dearly miss him as well. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10th at 11:30 AM at St. James Church, 129 Hudson Avenue, Chatham, New York, with interment in Austerlitz Cemetery.
